Sport Overview
Men's Trap Individual is a shotgun discipline that demands exceptional reaction time and precision. Athletes shoot from five stations positioned behind a trench housing 15 target machines, each releasing clays at randomized angles, elevations, and speeds — making every shot a unique challenge.
At the Phoenix Cup, trap athletes arrive on Sunday, November 22, with official training on Monday, November 23. Men's trap qualification begins on Tuesday, November 24 with 75 targets, followed by the remaining 50 targets and medal-deciding finals on Wednesday, November 25. The discipline rewards athletes who combine technical consistency with mental resilience across extended rounds of unpredictable targets.
